VBS Missions is BACK!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL MISSIONS:

Back by popular demand at VBS will be an opportunity for the kids in attendance to participate in missions projects. We need your help with donations for the following projects:

Sandwiches: Our goal is to supply 800 sandwiches to 2 separate shelters: Simpson and Our Savior. Currently, they have no supply of sandwiches and this ministry comes at a critical time. Help us make this a goal a reality! We need donations of: meat, cheese and bread - see the poster in Fellowship Hall for more details. VEAP Birthday Bags: Our local VEAP agency provides a birthday cake, frosting and candles to those area children who may otherwise go without on their birthday. We need donations of: cake mixes, frosting tubs and candles - see the poster in Fellowship Hall for more details.

Sierra Leone fleece blankets: Each blanket requires 2 yards of fleece - 1 yard of a solid color, the 2nd yard a patterned fleece. If anyone is interested in shopping for patterned fleece, I have 4 x 1 yard pieces of solid colors that need a match. Also feel free to shop for fleece to make a complete blanket. All donations may be left in the VBS area in Fellowship Hall.

Thank you for your continued support of missions and the youth ministries at our church. Please have donations dropped off by Sunday, August 2nd. Meat and cheese donations may be marked "VBS" and left in the church's kitchen refrigerator. NON-PERISHABLE FOOD DONATIONS CAN BE DROPPED OFF ANYTIME BEFORE AUGUST 3RD IN THE BOXES IN Fellowship Hall.

No time to shop? No problem. Cash donations can be used to fill out areas where we run short. Just mark “VBS Missions” on your check, to make sure it gets to the right place.
